About Uniban
Uniban is Colombia’s top banana exporter and the world’s 5th largest, producing around 40 million boxes of bananas annually, plus 3–4 million boxes of plantains. Some 90 % of its banana volume is shipped to Europe via its own logistics channels. To serve the European market, Uniban operates TMA (Antwerp Maritime Terminal) in the Port of Antwerp, acting as its strategic import, cold chain and distribution hub.
TMA ensures seamless handling of the weekly ~700–800 reefer containers from Colombia, managing customs, warehousing, and delivery to key Benelux customers.
As Uniban/TMA deepens its market penetration in Benelux and France, with ambitious growth goals for tropical fruit, there is a key opening for a Sales Manager Benelux & France to drive these volumes, expand relationships, and ensure category leadership.
Job description
You nurture your relationship with the customer, you create partners in a B2B environment
- Maintain relationships with key retail accounts.
- Act as a strategic partner to customers by identifying market opportunities and increasing product offerings to maximise turnover.
- Actively prospect and onboard new customers in Benelux and France.
- Stay ahead of trends to offer tailored solutions and innovations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to offer innovative products and packaging aligned with customer needs.
- Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring insights drive product development and market strategies.
- Work closely with internal teams, including supply chain and sourcing, to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Report directly to the Sales Director and contribute to overall company success.
Profile
Proactive, commercially driven, experienced B2B professional with a proven track record in sales of fresh fruit
Job requirements
- You have strong analytical skills and P&L understanding to monitor sales performance.
- You have experience in the fresh fruit and vegetable industry.
- You are fluent in Dutch, English, German and French is a plus.
